Card payments run on your own Stripe account. Connect it once on the Card processing page and every invoice and proposal you send carries a pay link, and the nowbooked app can take a card in person.
Connecting Stripe
- 1Open Invoicing, then Card processing.
- 2Choose Stripe and press Set up card payments. Stripe opens its own window: you sign in to Stripe or make an account, and Stripe checks who you are and where to pay you.
- 3Already have a Stripe account? Connect it instead. Invoice and proposal links, and taps in the app, then charge that account.
- 4Back on the page, the status reads Card payments on once Stripe has processed the account. That usually takes minutes. Check status asks Stripe right now.
What it costs
You pay Stripe's standard rates, shown on the Card processing page before you connect. nowbooked adds nothing on top. Payouts go to the bank on file in Stripe, on Stripe's schedule.
Where payments show
Every card payment lands on its invoice and in Invoicing, Payments, with how it was paid. A deposit shows on the appointment it belongs to.
Refunds
- 1Open Invoicing, then Payments.
- 2Open the payment's menu and choose Refund this payment. Refund part of it or all of it.
- 3The invoice shows the refund, and the customer's receipt updates.
A card payment taken through nowbooked can't be voided. Refund it instead.
