Turn deposits on and every booking made on your page comes with a deposit request. The booking is confirmed either way, and the request shows on the appointment until it is paid.
Turning it on
- 1Connect Stripe first (see Take card payments).
- 2Open Invoicing, then Settings, and find Deposits.
- 3Switch on Deposit at booking and set a dollar amount, or a share of the booked services.
- 4Save.
What the customer sees
Right after booking, the confirmation screen says the appointment is booked and offers to pay the deposit now or any time before the visit. The same request sits on their appointment page, which their confirmation links to.
At the visit
A paid deposit shows on the appointment and at close-out, with what is left to collect. An unpaid request stays open and payable; a cancelled visit closes it.
