nowbooked, Inc. (“nowbooked,” “we,” “us”) provides scheduling and text-message booking software to local service businesses (each, a “Business”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices — including how we handle text (SMS) messages. nowbooked is the booking assistant that sends and receives messages on each Business’s behalf.
Information we collect
- Information a Business provides to set up its account (name, email, phone, business details, branding).
- Information a customer provides when booking (name, mobile number, appointment details, and any service address or notes).
- Message content exchanged through the booking line (texts to and from the Business’s nowbooked number).
- Usage and device data collected automatically to operate and secure the service.
SMS / text messaging
nowbooked sends and receives text messages on behalf of the Business you are booking with. Messages include booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and conversational booking (replies that answer your questions and schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment). You are messaging the Business; nowbooked is the assistant that handles those messages.
- Consent (opt-in). You opt in to receive texts when you provide your mobile number to book or when you text a Business’s nowbooked number. Consent to receive booking texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your booking activity (for example, a confirmation, one or more reminders, and any replies you send).
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt-out. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe; you will receive a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and no further messages unless you re-subscribe (reply START).

- Supported carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent/opt-in data with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data is used only to deliver the booking messages you requested from the Business.
How we use information
- To operate the booking service — schedule appointments, send confirmations and reminders, and power conversational booking.
- To provide a Business with its own customer list, appointment history, and notes.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- We do not use the contents of customer booking messages to advertise to you.
How we share information
We share a customer’s booking information with the specific Business they are booking with. We use vetted service providers (for example, our messaging carrier and payment processor) strictly to operate the service, under contracts that limit their use of the data. We may disclose information if required by law. As stated above, we never sell or share mobile opt-in data for third-party marketing.
Data retention & security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use technical and organizational safeguards (including encryption in transit and tenant-scoped database access) to protect your information.
